When I looked up the definition of 'Inspiration' I discovered the following...
- An inspiring or animation action or influence
- Something inspired, as an idea
- a result of inspired activity
- A thing or person that inspires
It was rather bland, unexciting, UNINSPIRING and did not fully give the real meaning of inspiration for my taste. When I think of being inspired, I think of those early morning walks I take when the world is just waking up but still peaceful. The sun is a bright yellow shining deep into my core while a cool breeze softly brushes over my bare arms, legs and smiling face.
Then there are moments when it's me and God and I am thanking Him for all of my blessings, big and small and it feels like He has stopped the world to listen to me!
Other times are when I am having a deep conversation with someone close to me and their words are strong, comforting and filled with meaning.
There is really no right or wrong way to be inspired. You may feel inspired when you garden and become one with Mother Earth. Your inspiration may come from the daily work you do. Inspiration may come from the children in your life, listening to them laugh and seeing them discover the world around them. Your mate could be your greatest inspiration and how they show love to you. The parents who sacrified what they had for you and your siblings may touch that special place within you that keeps you inspired.
You can be inspired by a movie, a book or even a unique piece of art. There are many ways to be inspired, you have to have an open mind, an open heart and a keen eye. What you need to get you moving, to get the wheels in your head turning may be right in front of you. Take a look around your home. Take a walk through your neighborhood. Have a conversation with a friend, a relative or even a stranger. Ride a bike. Go feed the ducks at the park. Listen to your youngest relative tell you a story. Then be prepared to be an inspiration to someone else.
