There is Nothing to Be Afraid Of

Do you remember when you were a child and at night your parents tucked you in, kissed you on your forehead and told you they loved you? Then they would shut the door and you would be in your bedroom…in the dark. Sometimes shadows on the wall made you cover your head with your blanket. Or a strange noise would make you jump. Or your imagination would get the best of you and you would begin to believe there was a monster under your bed or in your closet!

If your young mind got the best of you, you’d scream out for your parents and they would sprint to you and make sure you were okay. Once they found out about the monster under the bed or the scary shadow thing on your wall, they would calmly tell you, “There is nothing to be afraid of.”

Even though there are no monsters in our closets or weird noises in our bedrooms, we as adults still near to hear those very same words…”There is nothing to be afraid of.” There are times when our imaginations still run wild and tell us things we should not believe but we tend to fall for the okie-doke anyway. When we are in the midst of those childish moments, we need to believe the truth which is, we can do anything! We have to believe we can accomplish our goals fearlessly! I know there is something you are going to do, have to do or need to do and you have never done it before. Just trust who you are and how far you have come and always remember, there is nothing to be afraid of!
